Easter Bunnies and Birthday Parties

April started off with celebrating Easter with family and ended with 2 birthday parties for AJ (one with friends and one with family). The kids had so much fun this month enjoying the outdoors. I can't believe AJ is already three. He continue to grow and is entering the world of tough big boy. Abby's personality continues to blossom into a sweet and affectionate little girl. I am overwelmed daily with love for these two amazing people that God has blessed me with.

Abby sporting her pink john deere shirt with grandpa at AJ's birthday party (Saturday he had a party with friends, and Sunday with family, but my parents and sister were able to stay and help out the whole weekend).

I had so much fun making this cake for AJ, and he had so much fun eating it!

I think he seems happy - what do you think?

Our craft project for his birthday was planting flowers and decorating pots. The kids had so much fun with this activity!

AJ enjoyed his time visiting with friends and being the center of attention. Trevor, Hayley, Joey, Cassandra, Sarah, Tyler, and Tegan were his guests :) (and Abby of course!)

AJ's buddy Joe.

"THE CAKE" only took half a day to make :)

Abby and AJ blowing bubbles on the porch. Abby had so much fun imitating her big brother and trying to figure out how he actually was able to make bubbles.

Bringing out the pool and slide!

Snacks on the boat. Poor AJ had to wear Abby's life jacket this day because we couldn't find his, which is blue. I don't think he minded though, as he loves the color pink - it was more Adam who didn't like his son wearing pink :)

Abby showing us how big she is.

Making music. I love her sweet smile!

We were able to spend Easter with Adam's mom's side this year. Here is their second (maybe third?) cousing, Gracie. They enjoyed an Easter egg hunt outside at great-grandma and grandpa Literski's house.

Abby loves to grab the camera out of my hands :)

AJ with his buddy, Buddy.

Eating "smores" - aka, graham crackers.

AJ really enjoying a smore by the campfire Adam built.

Abby is my little doll whom I love to dress up! Here she is at AJ's second birthday party, this time with our families.

Two teeth on the bottom, and six on the top! What a doll!

AJ's favorite present, by far, was a john deere big boy bike (his previous one was one I picked up at the second hand store, and was pink and purple with a basket). Here he is making a tough face and sporting his shades :)

Abby looks so silly, but this is how she loves to sit in the stroller :)

I got a little emotional taking this picture of AJ. Doesn't he look like such a big boy? No more little kid, that is for sure!

AJ helped me wash our van. Daycare is on a dirt road, so the van desperately needed a good scrub!
AJ had more fun running through the suds and looking at his footprints than washing the van, but the whole experience was a fun one!

Little Miss Flexible.

Abby rubs her feet together to the point that they are calloused! So cute!

Abby enjoys watching AJ at his swimming lessons.

AJ and daddy at swimming lessons. He started off hating to not be completely held and supported the first day to completely comortable holding onto only a noodle. I am so glad we enrolled him in swimming lessons!

AJ loves to play with his tractor in the corn. A farmer in the making!

A proud AJ after swimming lessons.

Abby loved playing with the plastic grass in her basket. I loved watching her in the bunny ears!

AJ getting caught sneeking another piece of chocolate!

Easter baskets. AJ enjoyed his more than Abby this year, but they both had fun looking at everything!
It was so much fun watching AJ get so excited when he found eggs, and then even more excited when he opened each egg up! I think he ate more than he saved that day! He was funny because he actually got disappointed when the eggs he opened had money, stickers, or other misc. things I stuffed in them :)
Abby trying to figure out how to open her egg :)

More chocolate!?!?

Found one!

Abby LOVES the outdoors, I think maybe even more than her brother did at this age, which seems close to impossible. We also discovered this month that not only does she like popsicles, but she will scream for more as soon as you take it away from her lips.
